Privacy

What we collect, what we don't.

A short, plain-English privacy policy for a site that genuinely does not need a long one.

The short version

We do not collect personal data. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not run third-party analytics. We do not sell, share, or rent any information about you because we do not have any.

What we run

FreePopularIPTVPlaylist is a static directory page served from a single PHP file. The only outbound network calls our server makes are to github.com once every six hours to read the public commit timestamp of the iptv-org repository, so the "Updated" date on the home page reflects the upstream catalogue rather than today's date.

What your browser does on its own

When you click a country flag, a category chip, or a copy button, the M3U URL is copied to your device clipboard locally using the browser's clipboard API. Nothing is uploaded to us. When you then paste that URL into VLC, Kodi, IPTV Smarters, or TiviMate and start watching, your player connects directly to the broadcaster's stream — those broadcasters and the upstream iptv-org catalogue have their own logging that we have no access to or control over.

Fonts

The Bricolage Grotesque, Geist, and Geist Mono typefaces used on this site are self-hosted from our own server as Latin-subset woff2 files. We do not embed Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, or any other third-party type service, so loading our pages does not leak your IP address to a font CDN.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived web-server access logs (timestamp, IP address, requested URL, user-agent) for the purpose of operating the site, defending it from abuse, and complying with hosting policy. We do not read these logs for analytics and we do not retain them long-term.

Contact form

The contact form on the About page currently runs entirely in your browser — submitting it does not transmit your message anywhere. If we add a backend endpoint later, this page will be updated to describe what it does with the data before that change goes live.

Children

Nothing on this site is directed at children, and we knowingly collect no information from anyone of any age. If you are a parent and believe a child has interacted with us in a way that warrants attention, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything on this page, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes (new tracking, new third-party services, anything that touches user data) will be called out in plain language in this section.
